This course explores practical, real-world approaches to ethical decision making within insurance. Beginning with the historical foundations of ethics and the distinction between ethics, values, and morality, participants examine three primary decision-making frameworks. Through interactive case studies involving pricing integrity, employee loyalty, and competitive conflicts, learners identify common ethical challenges faced in agency operations. Participants leave with practical tools to strengthen personal judgment, promote accountability, and build an organizational culture that supports ethical conduct and reduces professional liability.
- Flood Insurance 2.0

You’ll also gain up-to-date insights into the most recent NFIP reforms and changes.

Wednesday – September 16
- Crime Insurance In An Hour
- 9:00AM-10:00AM
- 1 P&C – Maryland Only
Many insureds (and even some agents) assume theft is fully covered under a standard property policy. In reality, significant gaps exist-specially when it comes to employee dishonesty, funds transfer fraud, forgery, and computer-related crime. This session breaks down why crime coverage is needed, how
common losses occur, what standard property policies exclude, and how today’s ISO Crime forms respond. Participants will gain a clear understanding of how crime policies are structured, how coverage is triggered, and the most common insuring agreements available.
- Workers’ Compensation In An Hour
- 1:00PM-2:00PM
- 1 P&C – Maryland Only
This course provides a simple, high-level overview of how Workers’ Compensation works and why it is required for nearly every employer. Often called the “sole remedy” for injured workers, Workers’ Compensation is designed to provide medical care and wage replacement to employees hurt on the job-while limiting lawsuits against employers. This session explains where Workers’ Compensation came from, what it covers, who it applies to, and the key policy features every insurance professional should understand. Participants will leave with a clear understanding of how coverage is triggered, what benefits are provided, and important considerations that can impact both employers and employees.
Wednesday – November 18
- AI & E&O: A Double Edged Sword
- 1:00PM-2:00PM

The session will also offer actionable recommendations for establishing agency guidelines and procedures designed to minimize E&O (Errors and Omissions) exposures.
