Membership Eligibility Requirements
Independent insurance agencies and industry partners operating in Maryland that:
- Are part of the American Agency System
- Have one or more licensed Maryland resident agents
- Legally represent more than one insurance company
- Own their agency accounts and policy expirations by contract
Before You Begin
Big I Maryland membership is limited to independent insurance agencies that meet the stated eligibility requirements.
If your agency does not currently meet these requirements, we invite you to explore:
