  • Why AI has become an overnight sensation.
  • The risks and benefits we must consider establishing proper guide rails for our industry
  • Solutions that are impacting agencies today
  • How to adopt and deploy the right tools for you

Emerging Technologies, Insurance Exposures, and Agency E&O

Presented by: Steve Anderson, Catalyit

Emerging technology plays an increasingly crucial role in the lives of individuals and business. The sharing economy, the increasing use of Drones, 3-D printing, smart homes and buildings, artificial and virtual reality, voice computing, Blockchain, the Internet of Things, Telematics, and Machine Learning are just some of the new technologies being adopted by agency clients. Does your staff understand how to provide proper insurance advice? When exclusions are added to a policy, what is the agency responsibility to inform their client? This class helps all agency staff better understand emerging technology and the insurance implications so they can better service their clients and protect against emerging E&O issues.

MEET OUR SPEAKERS

Steve Anderson, CEO & Co-Founder of Catalyit

Often revered as the insurance industry tech guru or the Godfather of Insurtech, Steve Anderson is practically synonymous with innovation. He spent over 22 years as president of The Anderson Network – an authority on insurance agency productivity, technology and profits – and has served on various boards and committees for IIABA and Big I NY.

But, Steve’s capacity to champion the entrepreneurial spirit extends well beyond the borders of the industry he has come to professionally claim as his own. Steve is the unofficial top Kickstarter supporter, where he’s unmatched in investor badges. He’s also the author of the best-selling book “The Bezos Letters” where he examines “14 Principals to Grow Your Business Like Amazon”. Suffice it to say that Steve’s passion for helping independent businesses may be one of his greatest passions in life.

That being said, this passion may have to rightfully get in line behind his beloved wife of 47 years and their incredible grandchildren, and his enthusiasm (read: obsession) for owning the latest and greatest tech toys. He’s sometimes considered Catalyit’s very own Inspector Gadget. Steve can go toe-to-toe with the greatest when it comes to wine (he’s a connoisseur), food (we secretly wonder if he was a professional chef in a former life), and travel (he’s reached lifetime ‘elite’ status with American Airlines).

Ultimately, no matter how you slice and dice his accolades or measure his accomplishments (did we mention he’s also a licensed pilot), the insurance industry will forever be indebted to him for bestowing the majority of his time and headspace to furthering the IA System.
