Accredited Customer Service Representative (ACSR) Designation Program

As a customer service professional, you must develop skills vital to effectively enhance customer satisfaction and retention. The Institutes’ Accredited Customer Service Representative (ACSR) designation program provides practical and relevant customer service skills and technical knowledge. Earning the ACSR designation conveys your commitment to excellence and professionalism in customer service. This program is recommended for agents, brokers and customer service representatives. This designation is offered in two different ways, classroom (in-person) or self-study.

The ACSR Program gives you two line-of-business tracks to choose from: Personal Lines or Commercial Lines

Core Courses:

Core courses are required for both Personal & Commercial Lines

Ethics 311 - Ethical Decision Making in Risk and Insurance

ACSR 4 - Agency Errors & Omissions

ACSR 5 - Professional Development & Account Management

The Ethics 311 course must be completed online. There is no fee to complete the course, however, if you wish to earn CE credits there is a fee of $5.50

Quick Facts:

  • The modules do not have to be taken in any specific order
  • There is no time limit to complete the program
  • There is NO mandatory continuing education to maintain the designation. Once you earn the designation it's yours to keep.
  • The ACSR program offers waivers for the Accredited Advisor in Insurance Program


  • Completion of ACSR modules 1-5, 10 , 11 & 12 waives AAI 81B
  • Completion of  ACSR modules 4-9 waives AAI 82A

Exam Retakes:

All Institutes ACSR/AAI exam retakes are completed online. Once we receive the Exam Retake Form and payment, we will submit the request to the Institutes and immediately (within 24 hours) the retake exam will be ordered and placed in your Student Institutes Account. 

You will only have 30 days to retake the exam, so if the exam expires you will need to order and pay for a new one. We recommend ordering exam retakes only when you are ready to sit for the exam to avoid having any issues with the exam expiring.
